Bump Bar
Users interact with the KDS screen through several options: standard keyboard, touch screen or Intura Bump Bar. A standard keyboard is low cost but not as practical in a kitchen environment. A touch screen display can be used with an integrated Bump Bar allowing you to navigate the KDS screen through direct touch. The Intura Bump Bar is designed for rugged use and its compact size mounts to a wall, monitor arm or shelf.
The touch screen Bump Bar (above) has two rows of four yellow boxes horizontally aligned in relation to an 8 box KDS screen. Users can select from 8 box, 10 box or 12 box configurations with either horizontal or vertical order flow options.

The Intura Bump Bar (above) is an input device that can be easily accessible when the KDS screen is mounted too high for a touch screen. The small footprint design manufactured with an exclusive Intura template by Logic Controls saves valuable space. Two bump bars can be chained together to run multiple displays from a single workstation.
Production Summary
The Production Summary provides important details about the current preparation requirements for “live” orders for kitchen personnel. Within the Summary window, the Statistics box is positioned to the left and provides details about the number of orders during the current hour and compares that with the number of orders for the previous hour. The Average Prep Time for all of the menu items for the entire day is displayed as well. Users can use a system setting to display the Statistics box or provide more room for other Menu boxes to display.
Following the Statistics box, Menu boxes can be displayed to show the current preparation requirements for important items. Each box consolidates the number of items to prepare based on the users selection of what menu item and sizes appear in each box. In addition, the user can select the title and colors to display in the header of each Menu box. The data continues to update as new orders are taken and menu items are prepared by the kitchen staff. If a specific Menu box has no items to prepare, that box will not be displayed until it has something for the staff to make.
Powerful
As you can see, the Kitchen Display System for the Intura Vision solution is a very powerful tool to improve efficiencies in kitchen operations and increase speed of preparation. It is highly configurable to your needs and will support the most demanding of kitchen operations. Whether you already use Intura Vision or are considering it for your restaurant, the Kitchen Display System is an option that you can’t live without!
Intura Vision also supports kitchen printers if a display is not to your liking. Or feel free to match any number of kitchen displays and printers in your operations since menu items are automatically routed by the system to the appropriate prep area within the store.
