ARLINGTON, Texas — November 6, 2006 — Intura Solutions, LP (Intura), a leading supplier of point-of-sale (POS) and business management software for quick service, fast casual and delivery restaurant concepts, today announced a new version of the popular Intura Vision POS solution that is anchored by the addition of a complete accounts receivable system. The accounts receivable features built into the Intura Vision POS system extend the order taking system with a mechanism to charge customer orders to an account.
“During the past year, we discussed with our clients their specific needs in terms of addressing the management of their most important customers that include business and personal accounts,” stated Gary W. Peek II, president of Intura. “The result is a fully integrated accounts receivable system that manages the entire life cycle of a customer order all the way through invoices, statements and collection issues.”
The system provides the ability to generate customized invoices, print monthly statements, assess finance charges, print summary and detail aging reports and enter payments, credits and debits. In addition, the customer credit portion of the system was extended to utilize the accounts receivable technology for more powerful tracking and management of in-store credits.
“The new accounts receivable functionality allows us to eliminate manual ticket books used in the stores since we can now maintain a permanent record of each customer invoice in our system,” stated Daniel Morrison, president of American Plus, Inc., which operates over 60 corporate and franchise Pizza Plus locations throughout Tennessee, Virginia, Kentucky and North Carolina. “Our managers can be more efficient since they will have the information at the store to answer customer’s questions about their accounts. It also provides a better method for us to manage our employee food purchase program by storing employee purchases in a charge account and later deducting those purchases from their payroll check.”
Intura Vision also includes other major enhancements with the integration of scale technology to the POS process for the purpose of pricing product sold by weight. This feature extends Vision’s capability to serve the specific sales needs for restaurant companies operating delis, cafeterias, coffee shops, ice cream parlors and other venues where products are sold by weight. In addition, Intura Vision now offers a new Customer Lookup feature that allows our clients to assign one or more customized IDs to each customer account. The Customer Lookup feature can be used to store an ID for club members, employee badge numbers or loyalty cards, and can be used by swiping a magnetic stripe card, scanning a barcode or by keyboard.
Intura also improved globalization features, added support for Microsoft® MapPoint® 2006 and upgraded the Intura Vision database to the latest version of Microsoft® SQL Server to take advantage of performance and security enhancements.
